Well, how should you dance if you don’t know where to dance? For this week’s interview, we speak to two female dancers, both from Chicago, about the topic.
Karen Hays is a dancer from Chicago. She studied dance at the Art Institute of Chicago, and is currently looking for a teaching certification to help her get back into the industry.
Dancers of all skill levels love dancing, so this episode was made for all beginners and intermediate dancers who seek information on dance etiquette. Karen is a teacher, and she has experience leading groups of people through choreographed dance and performing. This is her first time on the podcast. She asks that you stay respectful and be respectful in the dance area, and it’s the most basic of rules – it’s no different from any other dance.
Kathleen Cope is a dancer from Chicago who currently serves as an instructor and head coach for Dance to the Beat, a national dance movement organization. With a passion for dance, an open mind and good timing, she believes that there is a lot of beauty in simple things.

A former president of his own school has made his apology after allegedly suggesting to other students: “Have a small penis and make sure you get up-skirt photos.”
Martin Kettle, the former president of St Mary’s College in Cambridge, told The Sun newspaper that he made the remark over lunchtime to his class.
The comment was made after his class had finished their last meal, he wrote on Facebook.
Kettle also apologised for “putting everyone off learning and making them feel uncomfortable”, saying the comment was “not appropriate in the classroom, and it is clearly not suitable to have a dinner party with students”.
