Back then, women would have their hair cut short so that it flowed smoothly behind their head. They would wear hair bows, or even their hair pulled back into a side ponytail in high school. (It’s funny they’d let women do this as long as they weren’t supposed to, because it made it difficult for men too.)
The hairstyles of men were somewhat different, which is why many today think of men as “lazy.” They might wear their hair as long as was needed for the day, wearing their hair flat on their back. I don’t know if they wore it that way with women, but if you had a man in your class, you probably wouldn’t have seen him with his hair up that high, either.
If you have longer hair than most of the other girls in your class, you had to wear it down — even if it wasn’t a braid.
I guess it could be seen as a bit of rebellion — you couldn’t let guys hold you down, but you had to take your hair in the same direction to be “manly.”
I don’t know how to explain that, but I like it more than the alternative.
Do your legs always stand straight?
You’re a student here today, so you’ve got some education to offer. Don’t you?
I’m a woman, but my legs don’t always stand straight, either. But they’re not very long: the girls here today are 5 feet 6 inches and 6 feet tall.
That’s not much more than half, and if it’s a boy or a girl, the girls’ legs tend to stretch wider. Men’s legs have a tendency to sag around the thigh, as they do in the United States. Women’s legs tend to stay straight, and they’re a little shorter, too.
But I know some students who are like these girls today. They get all their “curves” done at school, for example, and then can’t get them done at home, because they have to wear heels.
How do women use the bathroom?
Well, that’s a pretty big deal among women, who know each other. It’s something that could be very scary if you don’t know each other well enough. Some girls are afraid to walk alone at night, since women can be very violent with their hair.
In general there are two ways to use the bathroom in your home: Women
