I think I have it at 5-7 (feet tall). The jockey in this video is at least 6-1.

What’s the largest horse owned that I have ever seen? In my experience, I’ve seen two horses that were over 150 lbs. It was a 5-year old steed owned by a gentleman. He was a good rider (he was a great horse handler), but the horse did have some issues with weight and weight gain. I’m not sure I saw it happen on that horse, although I never did witness the weigh-ins for any of the other horses I’ve ridden; so I may be wrong on that.
A big part of what I mean by “height” is when we talk about height and “height” plus weight, is the combined amount of body and brain mass you have when you stand up, rather than looking at the sum total of your body weight before you stand up. I don’t think the average jockey is that tall, but when you get into the higher weights and lower body size, I think a lot of them are taller than that. To me, it seems likely that the average jockey is around 3′11″ (about 5 feet 11 inches) or higher, but this is a subjective opinion, and there are very few things that can be done about this one.
The first size I ever worked with was the 6’1″ (177 cm) Johnny Cash in New Orleans (when he was around 9 years old) in the fall of 1979. He was an absolute monster and I was thrilled every time I ran him, because I could see his massive muscles and his amazing speed. I used to get so worked up just trying to get him to go one pace at a time, I would lose the will to ride when that was complete. And if I got up to the next pace, I always could be seen leaning back on the rear rack, taking it easy for a moment, and then I could be seen leaning forward in agony as I reached up around the head of this machine and almost smashed the horse’s head into the side of the track. After it happened, I would say that Johnny Cash was not the kind of horse to carry myself up a hill on. He would only go up if he made a hard turn to one side before coming back into a tight turn back down the hill. At about 6′1,” I found that one of the advantages of having a shorter trainer than a shorter breeder was that
