The problem? The horses’ lips are not as tightly sealed as the rest of their mouths, or as their mouth parts. This causes water to accumulate in the upper lip, where the horse’s tongue attaches. When enough water accumulates, or there is a prolonged period without water, they lose their tongue and lose their ability to move their tongue. This is a sign you don’t have enough water in the mouth and your blood flow starts to decline.
The good news here? There are a variety of things that you can do to fix your tongue. (And you can also do this yourself!)

A man who stole an abandoned motorhome from a storage shed in an industrial park in Oakville has been sentenced to 10 years of probation and 50 hours of community work.
David D’Amato, 50, pleaded guilty to theft of a motorhome and was given nine months on probation and a $300 fine.
“This was a brazen, violent crime,” Crown attorney David Staddon told court Wednesday. “The victim was severely injured and needed to be cared for at the time the theft occurred.”
Staddon said D’Amato was charged over the stolen vehicle just as it was being recovered by its owner. He said the owner knew the vehicle was stolen and initially told police nothing of the theft.
In addition to the 10-year suspended sentence, D’Amato must also complete 60 hours of community work and the victim must be issued with a traffic ticket. He must also pay the victim $600 in restitution.
Court was told that D’Amato is serving a conditional sentence after pleading guilty on May 17, 2015.
The victim has filed a civil claim against D’Amato for the cost of treatment for his injuries.
D’Amato is due to reappear in court on Sept.
