The New York Daily News, which earlier this year featured former Trump White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon on its cover, just dropped a nasty and revealing story in its Friday morning edition, revealing that there were major tensions between Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller, Stephen Miller’s predecessor as Trump’s senior policy adviser, over policy advice to the president.

As my colleagues Scott Stantis and John McCormack noted, the story’s main revelation is that former chief strategist Steve Bannon was deeply unhappy with Miller, and not only after he was ousted from Trump’s inner circle because he criticized Bannon in a meeting. He was even prepared to go to Trump personally to complain about Miller — an act apparently not encouraged by the deputy White House press secretary who was running Trump’s press shop at the time — but was rejected.

According to the New York Daily News, sources say he was “truly infuriated” with Miller’s “aggressive and confrontational style, and even more so when the two clashed over policy.” Indeed, the article reveals that Bannon and Miller clashed over such items as banning Muslim immigration to the U.S. and a Muslim registry of people who had come to the U.S. from certain countries, as opposed to the latter policy, which reportedly “helped Trump win the presidency.”
