How come I can’t learn guitar chords and strum chords the same way? Are these two different forms of guitar chords?
Strum chords have become a staple of jazz guitar, and guitar chords on the other hand are considered by many guitar players as “standard” guitar chords. While you can certainly play any chord shape you like, the idea of playing a chord by strumming it with your hands is something that you won’t be able to do on guitar.
Are there a lot of guitar chords in the book that aren’t in this list?
There is a nice selection of guitar chords in this book. The chord chart on the back cover has over 200 simple guitar chords, including guitar blues, bassline chords, arpeggios (key) chords, and many more. If you really want to know guitar chords, you will feel right at home learning guitar by understanding and playing the guitar chords in this book.
How does this book work when learning chords?
There are many different ways to learn and play guitar chords, the book presents six different approach and then gives you plenty of advice and examples to help you go from beginner to pro.
With the book I learned everything I could from a total beginner to advanced student in a matter of days. For example, I can play guitar chords like in the beginning of the song or through the melody, or I can play chords like in the middle of the song or through the verse. I can even play chords that I’ve learned in the song but the melody is changing. The book really helped with all these learning patterns, that I couldn’t understand or even remember at first.
Why did you choose the guitar approach?
To be honest, I really like the guitar approach for two very reasons:
